Thank you for your interest in our league and becoming a manager this year. Our Board of directors are working hard for the upcoming 2011 baseball season and with your help we hope to make this season fun, enjoyable and successful for all involved.

At this point, we are approaching our final stages of our registration process but we wanted to let you know about the Manager Certification program that the league mandates that all managers have and would need to be completed by March 1st. All managers would be made aware of their manager assignment by February 20th.

Mandatory Training course

Cal Ripken Certification - This is a one-time mandatory course for all managers and coaches in our league. This course is 24.95 and would need to be completed by March 13th. If this course has been completed in the past, there is no need to complete the course again. If you are unsure if you have completed the course, please email with your name and I will check it against Babe Ruth International's website. I will be emailing all those who put their names in for managers and are not certified.

Optional Courses

Annual Ketcham Coaches Clinic - February 22 at Ketcham Gymnasium at 7pm. This course is offered free of charge by the Ketcham High School Varsity Baseball Coach, Patrick Mealy. If you are interest in attending, please email with your name and Ketcham Clinic in the subject.

Youth Sports NY Coaches certification - The Town has asked that we offer this program to our managers and coaches and the town will pick up the twenty dollar fee normally imposed. For more information visit

On March 10th or April 7 at Dutchess Community College - 53 Pendell Road Poughkeepsie, NY

For a volunteer youth coach, practices can be a real challenge. The coach needs to know the high - energy drills that keep young players interested - while teaching them new skills. Once you register for your three-hour Youth Sports NY classroom session, you receive password access on this website to outstanding coaching techniques, drills and youth sports ideas. Added to the lessons from your Level I Coaching Certification Course, this sport specific content will help you combine the fun and challenge at practice that players and coaches are looking for. If you are interest in attending, please email with your name and phone number in the email and Youth Sports NY in the subject.

In addition to the certification and manager training courses, we wanted to give you a timeline leading up to Opening Day.
